08/06/2015 - Demolishing the first two houses around the Church
On Thursday August 6th, 2015 the two houses at 4003 Donna Road and 4010 Sue Lane were demolished to prepare the land for the new Service building.
12/4/2015 - Final Recombination Plat
On Friday December 4th, 2015 the surveyor submitted the final recombination plat (plot of land). The recombination is necessary for subdivided lots prior to building. The total combined lot acreage is 4.18 acres (Church and the total of six houses).
12/8/2015 - Cut trees and clean the future parking space land
On Tuesday December 8th, 2015 the trees were cut and the land got cleaned from the debris for the future parking lot at 3602 N. New Hope Road. on the intersection with Sue Lane.
06/08/2016 - Signed the Construction contract
On Wednesday June 8th, 2016, after the Liturgy, Father Misaeil signed the contract to officialy start construction on the new Church building.
09/14/2016 - Laid down the foundation stone
On Wednesday September 14th, 2016, after the Liturgy, H. G. Bishop Peter and Father Misaeil laid down the foundation stone of the youth services building and the Church of Archangel Michael and Saint Misael the Anchorite in front of Saint Mary Church.
02/11/2017 - Preparation for the tunnel
On Saturday February 11th, 2017 Accu-Steel Inc started by closing the main parking lot, the ramp and half of the stairs into the Western main Church's entrance to prepare the site for the installation of the tunnel. Fencing and caution tape was placed around the restricted area.
09/16/2017 - Arrival of first container from Egypt
On Saturday September 16th, 2017 the church's youth started to unload the first container that came from Egypt containing the new benches for the Archangel Michael and Saint Misael the Anchorite Church.
1/11/2018 - Installing the Church's Iconostasis, Icons, and Altar
The Engineer who implemented the Iconostasis arrived to Raleigh on Wednesday 1/10/2018 from Egypt to help in installing the Iconostasis in the new church; the work started on Thursday 1/11/2018, lasted for a week, and finished on 1/18/2018.
08/19/2015 - Demolishing the third house around the Church
On Wednesday August 19th, 2015 the third house at 3413 N. New Hope Road was demolished to prepare the land for the new Service building.
12/8/2015 - Applied for grading Period
On Tuesday December 8th, 2015 the Church applied for grading period to dig and grade and prepare lot for construction. Grading plan refers to the landscaping of the site and soil elevations.
03/03/2016 - Demolishing the fourth and fifth houses around the Church
On Thursday March 3rd, 2016 the two houses at 4001 Donna Road and 3419 N. New Hope Road were demolished to prepare the land for the new Service building.
08/05/2016 - Bulldozers on the site
On Friday August 5th, 2016, the heavy equipment vehicles started to level the site for the New Hope Road's new parking lot. The utility companies started to wire electricity, gas, and cables for the new building.
10/02/2016 - The building took its shape
On October 2nd, 2016, the building started taking its shape by seeing the skeleton made by the Steel and wall bricks, windows, doors, and the insulation of the first floor. Also, the extended parking lot on Sue Lane was leveled and was ready to be used.
02/22/2017 - Tunnel got connected and installed
On Wednesday February 22nd, 2017 the tunnel's installation started by getting 12 concrete frame structure that got connected to form the tunnel that connects the new building with the basement of the current Church.
12/27/2017 - Arrival of second container from Egypt
On Wednesday December 27, 2017 the second container from Egypt containing the wooden Iconostasis, painted icons, the church's wooden walls, the altar, and some other wooden pieces.
